| 内容記述 | This paper attempts to find effective methods for teaching basic composition skills to Japanese language learners at the beginner level. Commonly, Japanese language teachers place a special emphasis on grammar accuracy into beginner level student essays. Therefore, students at International Pacific University are required to submit reports in Japanese for their general education curriculum immediately following their first year of students. Consequently, basic essay composition and writing skills are crucial as part of the early curriculum. As a result of analyzing the most common problems observed on 183 essays written by Vietnamese students at a lower level class during a period of ten months, the conclusion is, as explained in the present paper, the necessity to teach logical linguistic expressions at beginner level. | |||||||||
