Commonly, Japanese language teachers place a special emphasis on grammar accuracy into beginner level student essays. Therefore, students at International Pacific University are required to submit reports in Japanese for their general education curriculum immediately following their first year of students. Consequently, basic essay composition and writing skills are crucial as part of the early curriculum.
