A time use survey was conducted among the parents of 127 children (ages 4 to 6) enrolled at a kindergarten in Shanghai, China employing a Japanese educational curriculum. As a result of examining correlations among the survey parameters, those parameters for which positive correlations or negative correlations were observed consisted of: (1) going to bed early, waking up early and breakfast, (2) ensuring ample time for going to school after waking up, and (3) regulation of playing time and TV viewing time. Going to bed early was suggested to be important in terms of making it possible to ensure required sleep time. |
