| 内容記述 | The founder of the Methodist movement, John Wesley, published his first hymnal “A Collection of Tunes Set to Music as They are Commonly Sung at the Foundry” (Foundry Collection) for people who attended his church. However, the hymnal was criticized as the second edition was never published, in addition to the use of atypical music notation for the tunes. This research paper aims to assess the accuracy of such comments and discusses the artistic value of the Collection in addition to the faith of the Methodist movement that was established during this time. |
