what are taught in each grade and what is difficult to teach in gymnastics classes in elementary schools and junior high schools．The subjects of this survey were 120 teachers in elementary schools and 20 teachers in junior high schools．The results showed that the teaching of the mat exercise and the vaulting box were nearly systematically thought in both kinds of schools，but on the other hand，that the teaching the horizontal bar exercise was nearly systematically taught only in elementary schools．And this results show that a backward roll of the mat exercise，a back hip circle of the horizontal bar exercise and a tuck vault of the vaulting box exercise are difficult for the teachers to teach．From now on，it will be necessary to research why these three skills are so difficult for them to
