The project’s basic concept is to educate faculty exhibiting strong leadership abilities in science, through “feeling,” “experience,” and “comprehension.” The project comprises 3 stages: (1) to feel and be moved through actual experience, (2) to approach things and phenomena through observation and experiments, and (3) to understand the development of science classes through trial lessons and activity evaluation. To achieve this, we introduced laboratory tools and various equipments to science laboratories of elementary grades 3 through 6 for experiments and observations, aiming to prepare elementary science classrooms that stimulate curiosity. We called these classrooms the “science teacher cram school” and gave the title IPU Science Meister to students who acquired high levels of leadership ability in this training. This paper investigated the results of implementing an “extension lecture” workshop for elementary school teachers in the prefecture involved in the “science teacher cram school” and studied the effects of science laboratory environment preparation on teachers’ leadership motivation. Results indicated that research for science teaching material is enjoyable and confirmed that as experience of conducting experiments increases, there are alterations in awareness, such as realizing that one has begun to like science.}, pages = {79--88}, title = {理科実験室の環境整備が教師の指導意欲に与える効果の検討}, volume = {10}, year = {2016} }
