To support the reform, MEXT made mention of the improvement of teaching English of in-service teachers as well as the employment of specialized teachers. The proposal says that basically, HR teachers should be in charge of the classes. It seems fairly urgent to establish new teacher-training programs for pre-service teachers’ curricula at universities as well. Accordingly, a three-day intensive session was offered 24 university junior students in the summer of 2014. Mixed research methods were conducted by utilizing questionnaires, while qualitative analyses were tried through the brief observation. In addition, two English proficiency tests investigated their progress. Six university faculties of the education department contributed to scrutinize the data and offer opinions to develop effective English programs for pre-service elementary school teachers.}, pages = {69--80}, title = {次世代の小学校教員養成と英語強化講座の在り方 ― 小学校英語教育の「教科化」を踏まえて ―}, volume = {9}, year = {2015} }
