The present manuscript distinguishes between states of realistic/withdrawal and internal/psychological withdrawal, and report on the significance of treatment status in relation to these two types of withdrawal in psychotherapeutic approaches for children and adolescents who refuses to go to school, and those manifesting social withdrawal. This study assessed improvement in children’s symptoms as well as that in mother - child relationship. We believe that it is the psychological treatment provided to a mother that led to the improvement in her child’s symptom as well as that in the mother - child relationship.
