So far, research has been done separately in each of these three divisions. In this study however, we discuss the relationships between body, mind and skill. As a research method, we focus on the teaching methods of two volleyball coaches, describing ethnography of technical and psychological aspects. Furthermore, with reference to the ethnography, we divide the effects of sports activities into five topics( health, strength, moral education, intellectual education, control) and by help of the Chinese philosophical “Theory of the five elements”, discuss inter-active relationships between mind and skill.
