They include the Japan Foundation and the Japan Center for International Exchange and are working to improve the life for foreign residents and students now living in Japan in addition to introducing Japanese culture and way of life to foreign people. The number of foreign residents in Japan is increasing year after year and reached 2,152,000, that is 1.5 times compared with ten years ago, therefore, international exchange organizations in Japan are now busier to take care of such increasing numbers. Their role has become more and more important for the promotion of international exchange. I would like to propose that people who are working in international exchange organizations, will have more global points of views in communications with foreign residents and work for promoting glocalization, that is, think globally and act locally.}, pages = {1--11}, title = {日本の国際交流活動の現状と課題 ─ グローカリゼイションの推進 ─}, volume = {2}, year = {2009} }
