The study focused on the scenes as the factors of improvement of infants’ play. Free playing scenes of 4-year-olds were observed intermittently, and analyzed through the concept of ambivalence between “ I ” and “We”. The result showed that the beginning and end of play were the important factor of the improvement of infants’ play. The findings suggest there are the fluctuation of infants’ feelings and desire in the start and end of play, and what support, in this point, affects the improvement of playing.
