今後の英語教育における文法指導の位置づけを考える Reviewing the Future of Grammar Instruction in English Education 井上, 聡 INOUE, Satoshi 環太平洋大学 830 370 明示的文法指導 タスク活動 自己表現 For the past 100 years, various types of reforms in grammar instruction have been carried out both overseas and in Japan. The focus was put on the question: accuracy or fluency, explicit or implicit instruction, communication or examination, and so on, but in the current English education, the relation between form, meaning and function is emphasized, and therefore task-based activities are said to work effectively. However, in order to instruct grammar in a limited hour, we need to devise a more efficient type of task-based activity, that is,‘ the use of selfexpression.’ What is important is to provide students with situations where they can use English more positively, not for teachers to use English all the time.
